I just found "Cash for Clunkers" online and I just wanted to know exactly what it was so let's see together.

Recently Congress spoke on behalf of a bill called "Cash for Clunkers". This bill will been seen by President Barack Obama to sign. which was passed, one could get up to $4500 for a trade of their old vehicles towards a new car. Of course there will be stipulations on this bill if passed. First of all, this bill is a government funded program that will give individuals a discount up to $4500 toward a brand new automobile to support the economy and the automobile industry in the United States. Your trade in requirements must be that your automobile must have at least 18mpg, circa 1984 or older, and owned for 1 year. Your new car must be at least 22mpg, If you have a car that has 8mpg improvement ,you get a $3500 subsidy and if you get one that has 10mpg improvement, you get a $4500 subsidy. On Pickups, it's a little different. The truck has to have at least an 8mpg improvement in order to get subsidies. I hear that Honda, Toyota and the small Ford pickups are doing really well without GMC's milages. Mitsubishi also has good pickups that don't have the emissions and bad mpg. If you have an older model gmc, you could possibly trade it for a newer model. In closing, Congress passed a great deal for anyone who wants to promote a better economy and auto industry. The auto industry will pickup in a few months after Cash for Clunkers goes forward toward a better economy without harmful emissions that put a toll on the ozone and our environment. I would like to thank Harry Reid, Dick Durban and Debbie Stabenow who brought forth this bill for others to benefit.
