Here are a couple tasty rum cocktails that might be pleasing to your palate.

JAMAICAN RUM BAMBOOZLE

This tasty cocktail is a rum lover’s dream. The perfect concoction for poolside parties or basking on the beach, this signature drink of Air Jamaica is sure to knock off your socks and braid your dreadlocks!

2 oz. Jamaican dark rum

2 oz. light rum

2 oz. dark rum

1 splash grenadine

1 dash bitters

3 oz. pineapple juice

1 oz. coconut extract

Pour the bitters over ice first, then strain, add rum, and toss in the pineapple juice, grenadine and coconut extract. If not all the varieties of rum are available just use what you have. Believe me, with portions this heavy in alcohol it won’t take long to lose all sense of taste anyway. The proper way to serve is in a hurricane glass, garnished with a slice of mango, but with a drink this strong, do the trivialities really matter?

In addition to the Rum Bamboozle, several of its close brethren are just as delicious and simple to make.

JAMAICAN PARADISE

1 oz. Malibu Rum

1 oz. Captain Morgan’s Rum

1 oz. Myer’s Rum

1 oz. Midori

Add a splash of pineapple juice

Shake over ice and strain into glass.

JAMAICAN TENNIS BEADS

½ oz. vodka

½ oz. Malibu Rum

½ oz. Chambord

½ oz. crème de banana

½ oz. half & half

½ oz. pineapple juice

Shake over ice and strain or serve on the rocks.
