Do you get tired of the making the same old fried fish? Here are three unusual recipes that my family has been using since I was a little one. They are quite tasty. FISH SAUSAGE-----FISH LOAF-----FISH CAKES

This is the ingedient list of the items you will need to make the following:

Things You'll Need:
  • FISH SAUSAGE
  • 1 cup flaked, poached fish
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pork sausage
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sage
  • FISH LOAF
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup light cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups poached fish
  • 1 Tablespoon melted butter
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 Tablespoon minced parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • FISH CAKES
  • 2 cup flaked, cooked fish
  • 2 teaspoons chopped thyme
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
  1. FISH SAUSAGE
Mix together all the ingredients and mix thoroughly, form patties and cook as you normally would sausage. I like this a bit of crispy on both sides.

This can be used as your main dish or as a breakfast meat with eggs.

  2. FISH LOAF
Combine the egg and the cream, add to the fish. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Place in greased baking dish and bake in the oven at 400 degrees, for 30 minutes.

  3. FISH CAKES
You may use instant mashed potatoes, following instructions on the box, or leftover mashed potatoes, or make fresh mashed potatoes. Combine the potatoes, fish, salt and pepper to taste, parsley, thyme and egg. Mix well.

Form into cakes or patties and sauté in oil until hot and brown crisping on both sides.
