Its an article about who should be responsible for the test scores that students achieve in school. Whether it is the teachers or the students, this should give you some good information from both sides. Who is to blame? The students or the teachers?

Ok lets starts off by answering this question basically, and then moving into good detail.
Teachers are not always accountable for their students low test scores. Sometimes it can be both students and teachers at various times. And I am not saying fully that students are to blame or the teachers. But they both together can be blamed and here is the reason why. Lets go into good detail shall we?

Firstly, we need to know a little about students. How life has changed throughout age. And nowadays what we see.

Back in the past generation, children were more sensible and determined to successfully achieve in their studies to forwards their careers. They played less and studied more at home and school. And that is including more revision for tests.

However, in the present generation, children have changed dramatically and still are going to change. Now, they hardly study and are not bothered to achieve successfully than others. Yes there are a few students who like to work and achieve something but not all of them.
And so, this could be a reason why students fail to achieve high scores in tests such as GCSE'S, SATS and many others. They enjoy socializing and chilling with other people, not caring about their studies and futures. When tests come onto their doorstep, they don't or hardly revise properly. And I am not just saying that from the top of my head, I am saying that from my own experience and friends. I, being a student admit that work can be very stressful and tiring but in the end of the day, I have to do it for my future performance in life. And that is why I never gave up. God aren't I glad!

So as you have read, students could be responsible for their own low test scores. Would you agree?

Now, teachers turn. I am sorry to mention this if you are a teacher but its good to read this bit!

Teachers could also be blamed for student's low test scores and the reason why is because they don't always teach properly to a student who needs extra help. Yes, they instruct everyone on what to do but truly speaking, its not everyone every time!
The students who are desperate for extra help don't always get it. And again, I am not saying that from my own head. I am saying this from my own experience. I remember asking my teachers for some extra help on work and the reply that I get is not acceptable. They ignore, shout and cannot be bothered to help at all. I was always desperate for help on my coursework's but I never got 100% full attention.
But I don't completely blame teachers every time. Sometimes, teachers do help and it is very needed at some points. There is one teacher I will not forget. The help she always gave, the support. Throughout the five years of classes I have done in the high school, she was the only teacher who was seriously concerned about our results. She was a good teacher. Always marked our work the same day or even after. Unlike some who marked the work many months after! Her name was Mrs Williams. I won't forget her support. My English target grade was an E. and on my really exam I achieved a D. which isn't a great improvement. Yet, in my practice exams I achieved B's! Ha who is smiling now?

So you have got to think correctly. At times it's the teacher fault. And sometimes, the students.

I think a lot of the time students are dealing with environmental stressors that can cause poor class perforance. This can range from issues with parents to friends to mental conditions. If, however, a teacher's entire class is suffering from below average scores it is pretty safe to assume that the teacher is not teaching the proper cirriculum. I agree with you though. It is not one or the other but both.
