Yet if you talk on wider terms you will come to know that you can sketch a line of “types” of the poker players. Correct categorizing will leave you digging the gold! And wrong interpretation will drag you to the drain!

Types of Poker Players

Mostly poker players, whether be online poker gamer or in house gamer, fall into four major categories namely Tight- Passive, Loose-Passive, Tight-Aggressive and Loose- Aggressive. These categories are self made and revolve around each other. For instance an amateur decides to register with the game; chances are that he will prefer studying the mode of game play rather than concentrate on riding money first. Likewise the player who is into this game since years will definitely prefer more of the money factor as he is completely at ease with the gaming conditions and need no time to learn about the opponent. But then with time each poker player automatically advances to the next step as he/she gets more and more acquainted with the game.

Why is it important to learn about the moves of opponent?

Loose-passives (amateur) tend to choose this style because they are in the game room not for the sake of money, instead to learn and enjoy the game in the first place. They can be big “fish” i.e. catch for veterans as they appear to be an easy grab for money! Tight passives (tight) are next level poker players and are also easy bait as they avoid taking much risk and so can be easily read. The loose- aggressive(s) or maniac are dangerous and often bet aggressively. Be very careful if you come across such poker players as their winning chances are always higher than the average! And lastly the tight-aggressive(s) or solid are those who play their turn very cautiously yet effectively. Most of the winners come into this category as they know their game very well, have done their homework properly and never loose their mind in the heat of the game, ultimately leading to massive success.

Whether playing online or in play station the key to success is reading the way the poker player plays his game. There are many online poker gaming sites where you can practice and play this game of money.
