My horrible experience with Reviewstream the paid to review site

This is a summary of my experience with ReviewStream.com Don't waste your time and reviews here.

I have come to the conclusion that Reviewstream is not a company that I want to do business with. When there is a legitimate way to earn money online I will indeed try to share it with my online friends. Therefore, it goes without saying that when I find a site that looks fishy I will warn people not to waste their time there. My criteria for a promising site is not that hard to obtain. I am not looking for anything for free and I don't expect to get rich quick. I just want a fair and honest way to offer what I have: writing ability, time and truthful opinions which is what a company like Review Stream is looking for in the form of reviews. I gave this site a good try and an adequate amount of time to be able to form my own opinion of the company. Unfortunately, this will not be a glowing review.

Here is my experience with Reviewstream.

First some facts. When you arrive at reviewstream.com The page states that "everything can be reviewed and every review can be paid" Now, I will agree with this statement but it's just the way they say it. I believe that the second "can" is optional at least for them. You will go on to read that "We are buying consumer reviews the current review rate is $2.00. This must be a joke because I have written a handful of quality reviews solely for this company and they have never offered me $2.00 for any of my reviews. I write for Associated Content, Ehow and Ciao plus I have won monetary awards for my writing just recently. I have also read some of the other reviews on the site and I can't imagine some of those receiving any more than what they offered me. I was offered the bulk rate for my articles which is the regular rate ($2.00) divided by 5 = $.40. They even rejected one of my reviews. I thought that "everything can be reviewed" apparently that statement is not true.

Here is a recent experience with them: I submitted my review like I normally do for any paid to review site. I get the usual email that acknowledges the receipt of your submission and they say that they will get back to you within 72 hours. 5 days later I get a rejection email as follows.

Your review Avon Bubble Bath Creamy Frosting Scent Review

Could not be published due to the following reasons :

- we're not interested in it

Period end of story??? They didn't even mention why they were not interested in it or what I could do to improve my chances of having the next review accepted. Well, after they said they wanted nothing to do with this article I offered it to Associated Content and they snapped it up for $2.50 plus performance payments. What does this tell me? That ReviewStream was nothing but a waste of my time and they are unprofessional. Now I am wondering what the payout amount is for the other items I have already given them and I find out that the minimum cash out is $50.00. There is no way that I am going to continue writing good reviews for $.40 each and put myself through being rejected every so often for no apparent reason. I'd have to write 125 reviews for them just to reach payout, probably more since they reject reviews on a whim. I have also found out that they only like positive reviews and that is just not cool or honest.

The site even looks shady it is barren of any color or graphics. There is no personal homepage where you can have all your articles in one place. There is no community just an obviously moderated shoutout box where random people say "I love this place" or "I got payout in minutes" It's all lies. ReviewStream pales in comparison to other sites like ciao where I just got $70.00 from or AC which pays like clockwork. The major thing that really scares me about the site is that every review is subject to approval. Normally that wouldn't bother me but when the payout is so high what is to stop this shady company from rejecting all of your reviews when you are hovering around $49.00 and are looking to collect your money? Or what if they just decided to close your account one day by claiming that you copied a review. That is a huge risk that I am just not willing to take.

I think they paid some writers and prevent others from reaching payout.  I know some writers making more than five hundred bucks from reviewstream.
