Are you sick? Are you in pain? Maybe your loved ones, friends or companions. Here are bible promises of God for you and for those who need healing spirit, soul and body.

Christians or not, we need healing today whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. I have listed down bible promises for the sick and for all those who are suffering right now. These verses have helped a lot of people for hundreds of years and still continue to help people today including myself. Here are the following:

Exodus 15:26:

He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

II Corinthians 12:9 explains:

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

It means to say that during those very low and dark moments of our life, when we are weak, sick, or in pain or when we feel alone or depressed God’s power and grace become very much stronger in our life when we pray.

I Peter 2:24 says:

“He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.

The preceding verse assures the believers that Jesus Christ carried their sins on His own body including their sicknesses upon His death on the cross. It is sad to know that some Christians believe Jesus Christ as their Savior but not their Healer. They still consult “psychic healers” or “faith healers” to be cured from their diseases. They have forgotten that Jesus Christ carried their sins and their infirmities upon His body during His Passion. His redemptive work on the cross is a total work of salvation. He saves all who believe in Him spirit, soul, and body.

Jesus is not only our Savior but our Healer too. He is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Perhaps you are not sick but you are suffering too. God has many promises in His word to comfort you. Here are the following:

Romans 5:3-5:

3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

I Peter 1:6-7:

6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I Peter 2:19-21:

19For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 20But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

I Peter 4:1, 12-13, 19:

1Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.

12Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

19So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

James 1:2-4:

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Let the above bible verses comfort us in times of sickness or suffering. God bless.
