High blood pressure can be from excess weight or smoking habit. High blood pressure can also be from genetic. There’re certain group of people that are prone to high blood pressure. Certain food can cause us to have higher blood pressure like salt.
Blood pressure value
The normal blood pressure value for adult is 120/80. If you have blood pressure that is below this value then you have low blood pressure. If you have blood pressure higher than this value then you have high blood pressure. It’ll depend on how high your number is compare to this value. A blood pressure of 130/90 is considered a high blood pressure value. Any value above that will be considered as high blood pressure and you need to get medical attention right away. A high blood pressure is life-threatening in the long term.
What you can do
You can get to the doctor and seek medical treatment. They have medication that can lower blood pressure. It’s important that you get on medications right away. When you’re at home, you can change your eating pattern to cope with your blood pressure. You can also exercise more to cope with your blood pressure. You should avoid eating salt and smoking because they can increase your blood pressure. Salt cause your body to retain water and you can have more volume in your blood, causing it to work harder. If you walk or do other exercise daily, you will achieve lower blood pressure soon. Exercise works really well to lower your blood pressure. When you exercise, your blood vessels are relaxed and that can lower your blood pressure.
