1. Tudaya Falls: Davao Del Sur

Mt. Apo, in Mindanao (in the southern part of the country), is the country’s highest peak. I t is where you can find

one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines – the Tudaya Falls. This 150-meter waterfall is the tallest

waterfall in the Mt. Apo National Park. It is located in Sta Cruz municipality of Davao Del Sur; about 3 hours drive

from Metropolitan Davao.

Undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful and undeniably the most popular waterfall in the Philippines is Pagsanjan

Falls. Pagsanjan Falls is a haven for locals and tourists from all over the world. One will enjoy a ride in a rickety

canoe and can experience the pleasure of getting doused taking a bamboo raft under the waterfall.

3. Maria Cristna Falls: Lanao Del Norte

This spectacular waterfall is located in Lanao Del Norte popularly known as Maria Cristina Falls. It is a waterfall of

the Agus River in Mindanao. It is sometimes called the “twin falls” as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of

the waterfall. It is a landmark of Iligan City, nicknamed the “City of Majestic Waterfalls”, because of the presence

of 23 waterfalls in the city. It is well-known for its natural beauty and grandeur with a height of 320-feet or 98

meters. This waterfall is also the primary source of electric power for the city’s industries, being harnessed by the

Agus VI Hydroelectric Plant.

4. Tinago Falls: Lanao Del Norte

Of the 23 majestic waterfalls in the City of Iligan, Tinago Falls is the best. It is one of the main tourist attractions

in Iligan. Tinago is a Filipino term meaning “hidden”, the falls being hidden in a deep ravine. Trekking to the falls

requires approximately 500 descending steps called the winding staircase. The falls is approximately 240-feet

high, its very cold waters cascading beautifully into a deep and calm basin-like pool which appears like a

blue-colored lagoon. Under the falls is a small cave where people can enter and listen to the rumbling waters.

5. Daranak Falls: Rizal

Daranak Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Tanay, Rizal. This waterfall is a favorite attraction for residents

of the nearby Greater Metro Manila Area and other neighboring provinces for this fall is truly a refreshing site.

A smaller waterfall known as Batlag Falls is located a few meters away from Daranak Falls.

6. Hinulugang Taktak: Rizal

Another magnificent waterfall that attracts thousands of tourists is the Hinulugang Taktak. It is a waterfall found

in the province of Rizal. The waterfall area has been designated as a National Park by the Department of

Environment and natural resources and is one of the two most popular tourist spots in Antipolo City, Rizal’s

capital, the other being the Antipolo Cathedral. In 1990, the waterfall has also been proclaimed as a National

Historical Shrine by the national government.

7. Kawasan Falls: Cebu

Cebu, like many places in the Philippines has so many tourist attractions to offer, one of which is the Scenic

Kawasan Falls. It is located in Badian, Cebu. One can feel the coolness of the surrounding lush greenery of

this panoramic waterfall.
