*Bipolar disorder is a mental illness also known as manic-depression and one of the main symptoms are unusual mood swings.  Bipolar disorder sufferers who switch in between feelings of unbelievable high happiness and then drop to sadness or deep depression. These extremes of moods are not normal as they go from one extreme to another. Bipolar disorder goes by another name of manic depression or bipolar depression. Bipolar disorders come in two distinct levels with Bipolar I which consists of at most times episodes of depression and the sufferer will cycle between mania and depression. Bipolar II disorder consists of reaching a level of happiness but never reaching a complete mania level. The type of episodes are called hypomania or hypomanic episodes.  This illness can be treated with medications, psychological and psychiatric therapy sessions, alternative medications and therapies. Seeking the treatment of a physician is best before attempting treatments alone.

*Consult with a physician for proper evaluation, diagnosis and treatment to bring the illness to a controllable level.

1. Rapid or excessive talking such as talking very quickly as if there is a rush. Along with racing thoughts that cause sleeplessness.

2. Excessive spending, continuous shopping sprees, excessive behavior, and spending money beyond their means. 

3.  Hypersexuality through having promiscuous sex with others that they wouldn't normally choose for themselves.

4.  Decreased need for sleep, and hyper activity high energy levels.

5. Losing touch with reality, bizarre behavior and acting delusional. 

6. Individual feels loss of pleasure, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, suicidal thoughts, lack of energy to complete activities. 

7.  Lack of ability to concentrate, or focus on any activities.

A very intersting and informative article about something not always understood by everyone.Iiits hard to deal with and not always treated fairly by others which is frustrating when all you want is to lead a normal life.
