Bad times indeed for former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, also known in the boxing world as ‘The Iron Mike’, ‘Kid Dynamite’ and the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’.

Tyson’s troubled life became even more unbearable when his 4-year old daughter Exodus, died at the hospital Tuesday after a terrible accident while playing at her home.

SI.com reports:

Exodus Tyson died at a hospital Tuesday after being on life support since she was injured Monday at her Phoenix home, police said. She either slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging under a treadmill's console and was suffocated

Tyson who lives in Las Vegas flew to Phoenix after hearing of the terrible accident and was seen entering the hospital.

Tyson’s troubled life began when he was convicted in 1992 of raping Desiree Washington and served three years in prison.

After his release from prison, he revived his boxing career and engaged in a series of non-title fights. He regained part of his championship titles before losing to Evander Holyfield in 1996.

In 1997, Holyfield agreed to a rematch with Tyson which ended in a shocking fashion when was disqualified for biting the ear of Holyfield

Later he fought again for a championship bout with Lenox Lewis but lost by knock out in 2002. Tyson retired from competitive boxing in 2005 after losing twice by knock out.

In 2003, Tyson declared bankruptcy after receiving over $300 million during his professional boxing career.

The SI report added:

"I don't know who I am," he told the newspaper. "That might sound stupid. I really have no idea. All my life I've been drinking and drugging and partying, and all of a sudden this comes to a stop."

He has been promoting a new documentary about his life and told The New York Times earlier this month he had been sober for 15 months after years of drug and alcohol abuse

Tyson expressed his appreciation for all those who condoled with him and his family for the tragic loss of his beloved daughter Exodus.
