Here are two small publishing companies interested in Christian or family friendly romances.

Interested in finding a publishing house for your Christian or family friendly romance, mystery, or historical novel? If you’re not having any luck with the larger publishing companies or an agent, you might try one of these little companies, which are glad to consider new writers and offer small but reasonable advances.

 Avalon:

A small company that publishes sixty books a year. Categories include: career romance, general romance, historical romance, mystery, and western. Books must be suitable for family reading, so no sex scenes or profanity. Accepted book length: 40,000 to 60,000 words (roughly 160-210 pages). Full submission guidelines can be found at:

White Rose Press:

This is a relatively new company that is gaining a lot of attention in the inspirational/Christian romance writing world. This company has recently started offering an advance for two different lines of books known as the Rosebud (40,001-65,000 words) and the Rose (65,001-100,000 words). The Rosebuds are ebooks, and the Rose books are both electronic and print. The books must be primarily romance focused with a Christian theme and Christian characters. Romance sub-genres are acceptable as long as the romance is dominant in the storyline. Submission guidelines can be found at:
