Seven Ways to Fight away Depression...!

Few points are discussed here for handling and removing depression problem. All these are based on our daily way of living in a most natural and cost effective way!!

Depression is a mental illness which affects a person’s attitude, behavior, physical appearance and thinking process. A person who has depression seems to have the “blues” most of the time. It is as if in a persisting sadness that never goes away! Depressive sickness comes in three distinct types. They are bipolar disorder, dysthymia, and major depression. Dysthymia is the least severe out of the there. Major depression and bipolar disorder require medication and therapy. However, like any other illness, depression can be fought and cured. There is nothing to fear about this! With the right remedies a person can be well relieved from depression and live a happier and more fulfilling life with cheerfulness. Below are some ways to fight the battle of depression and win only by practicing in our daily life...!

1) Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night.

Sleep is one the most precious gifts of Nature to the human body, mind and soul. Sleep helps to revitalize the body. It is the time when the body is renewing itself. Studies have also shown that people who get 6 to 8 hours of sleep regularly have decreased chances of developing depression, anxiety and mental illness. Rest is vital to the human brain. It needs time to “reboot”. Sleep also helps nerves in the brain reconnect. This is why when a person wakes up from a quality night sleep, they feel great. There mind works better and their mood is more balanced. Get some shut eye between night 10 O’clock and morning 6 O’ clock!

2) Drink sufficent water.

Once again, drinking-water is inexpensive and great natural liquid for combating depression. Water is good for the brain. It helps to cleanse and renew the insides of a person in the most natural manner. When a person feels better, they look better. This helps to lift a person’s spirit. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water (2 to 2.5 liters) daily. There is no harm if you drink more water. Water is life... Add vitality to life simply by drinking water and fight away depression!

3) Drink Green-tea.

Green tea contains antioxidants and polyphenols which strengthen the immune system. Green tea also relaxes the mind and body. It does this simultaneously while speeding up metabolism and cleansing the body. Green tea is quite unique from other remedies. It also cures headaches and migraines. This miracle tea contains the best elements and helps the brain function better. Fried leaves of ‘Drumstick’ plant have also good anti-depression qualities among green vegetables! When a person feels better, they well fight away their depression!

4) Exercise regularly.

Physical movement and mental engagement are perfect for combating depression. This is because movement stimulates mood enhancing chemicals in the brain like endorphins and dopamine. These chemicals enable a person to feel good. Exercise can be as simple as taking a stroll in the park or jogging down the street. As long as the body is moving, it is good. It is best to take part in some form of exercise 3 to 4 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. This will increase mood and metabolism. Similarly, keeping the mind engaged with some type of creative or study oriented task makes depression away. In this aspect, hobbies play an important role to well utilize any extra time and a productive hobby not only keeps the body and mind active, but also proves remunerative if chosen properly! Otherwise an idle mind becomes a workshop for devil! Get regular exercise and get good health!

5) Listen to music.

Studies have shown that when a person hears music, certain portions of their brain are stimulated. These sections have a lot to do with mood, memory and connections. Music helps the brain in many ways, but when it comes to depression, it can be the saving grace for the listener! Classical and traditional music is relaxing and uplifting. You can try some new and old film songs also! Select some weekly musical programs from your liking radio or TV channel and watch them well regularly. Take out your own musical equipment and listen to some music when relaxing!

6) Read spiritual books and socialize yourself.

Books relating to lives of incarnations, spiritual leaders, saints, great personalities and their work are very much versatile to create positive thoughts and a healthy vision. So, take prime care to study some spiritual books regularly at your chosen time at least for 30 minutes. These books provide art to live a decent life. It is believed that depression never finds entry to the persons, where spiritual books are read aloud! Also, as an individual element of society, every person needs certain level of socialization that develops better human-habits, qualities and values of life. Good socialization also prevents from many crises and ready made solutions for many problems are available at hand. This is essential for better self esteem and thus depressive factors will be unable to germinate!

7) Pray God regularly.

Pray God regularly at your chosen time, once at day and once at night. Feel the presence of God everywhere all around you and He is there for your protection and safety. He has the solution for all your problems and just pray Him for this, with a feeling that He is always with you! You will certainly feel the miracles of prayer by praying God regularly with dedication!

Depression is a serious sickness in this modern life, but it does not have to control and shade your life. Take your power back just by these above tricks without any medication! These seven ways must keep you away from all sorts of depressions if practiced regularly! It’s not difficult. You can well do it! So take your own resolution to act just from now and defeat any sort of depression!!
