Paying a professional photographer is too expensive! Here's some tips on being your own photographer! After you have purchased a digital camera, follow the directions and install your camera. Read all the information about how to use the camera and it's programs installed on your computer. Before you get started, you may want to do some research on poses, backgrounds, lighting, ect. The best place to photograph is outdoors in a shaded area, "no sunspots". Don't be too picky about smiles ... just posture. If you want a great smile say something funny to make them laugh. real emotion is the best shots. If you have a motion sensitive camera, you may need a tripod to steady your camera. Take at least 3 pictures of the same pose, for editing. Download the photos onto your computer according to the manual. Have fun with you photo editor. Change you picture from color to sepia, black and white, antique, or any other options you have for enhancement. Make sure to callibrate your printer to ensure no lines in the photo. Pick your finished photo, and print.Just be creative and don't worry about mistakes. Don't be in a hurry to delete the photo's off  of the camera, it's best to wait until you have finished veiwing them on the computer.Avoid photographing on days that are too hot or cold, as the subject's nose will be pink in cold, and face may be flush on hot days. Always avoid photographing in areas that can pose hazards for you and the subject ie/ steep hills, loose rocks, etc.
