decalremover on How to Remove Decals From Glass / Windows on 25th, Sep 2009

Hi, Top post. I have posted the below comment for people who want to remove decals that appear on a painted surface (plus a cheap product to remove any goo left on the surface, once the decal has gone). There are a few ways to remove decals without damaging the paint. Depending on the size of the surface, i would recommend either a plastic or rubber tool (i would avoid metal razor blades as its easier to scratch the surface). The two ways I would recommend are; 1 - Plastic razor blade - it would scratch the surface and is good for small surface areas 2 - Rubber wheel for large areas such as on cars, trucks, shop windows. There is a demonstration of how this works at www.decalstickerremover.com You can also use chemicals to remove decals and some work quite well. However, some are only suitable for factory finished paint jobs, so they can not be used on resprays. Its best to check on a small surface firsy To remove any glue or adhesive left at the end my preference is to use is eucalyptus oil. You can buy it from most supermarkets - plus is smells refreshing Regards, Peter

Samloyal23 on President OBAMA , Inauguration on 14th, Apr 2009

Economics is cyclical, it goes up then down then up again. The less regulation the economy has the bigger the ups and downs. No matter what the president does, the economy will eventually rise again. What's really important is restoring America's reputation and garnering the respect that W lost through his lack of diplomacy...

I did vote for Obama and actually did some campaigning for him. As a political scientist, I am impressed with his intellect, his ability to analyze all sides of an issue, and his willingness to listen to those who have opinions different from his own. Such was not the case with the past administration. I DO believe that he will manage to turn this country around. It will not be easy; however, I am more optimistic about the future than I have been in a long time.
